I recently upgraded my Kindle to a Kindle Scribe and I couldn’t be happier.
Some of my Kindle uses might differ from yours, so you might not find my experience perfectly relevant. For example, I love the note-taking capability of the Scribe. I use it for my day job, which sometimes involves in-person client interviews. The Scribe’s pen is silky smooth and the notes can be converted to type easily. (Plus, I don’t have to worry about running out of paper… or ink :).)
The Scribe’s also fantastic for editing. I can load drafts onto my Kindle and take notes right on the device.
I won’t be surprised if these purposes don’t interest you, but there are a couple of other reasons I think this big, beautiful Kindle might appeal to you.
One of the things I love most is that the larger screen means much less page flipping. If you’re like me and have hand pain, this can make a big difference! The need to click less often also helps me read faster. I would be delighted with the device for these reasons alone, even if it didn’t have its cool writing features.
The battery life is amazing, too, though perhaps that’s not too impressive if you already get weeks of battery life with, say, a Paperwhite.
Anyway, if you’re curious at all, I recommend you check out the Kindle Scribe. Maybe you’ll love it as much as I love mine. (Oh, and I got a big discount for turning in my dying Kindle Fire, too. Be sure to check out that option.)
